Filter boxes with replaceable filters are basically designed for component ducted supply ventilation systems.

Filters provide purification of the fresh supply air.

In some cases, filters are used to purify exhaust air, for example in rooms where dirty, polluted air is extracted, so as not to cause contamination of fans and recuperators, or pollution of the surrounding environment.
